- Abstract
The article titled "Cover Feature: Ion-Pairing Assemblies of Anion-Responsive π-Electronic Systems That Have Noncovalently Assisted Expanded Planar Region" discusses the properties of arylethynyl‐substituted dipyrrolyldiketone BF2 complexes as anion-responsive π-electronic molecules. These molecules exhibit enhanced one-photon absorption and two-photon absorption when anions bind to them, due to conformation changes. The anion complexes form solid-state charge-by-charge ion-pairing assemblies with π-electronic cations, facilitated by intramolecular interactions. The article provides more detailed information on this research.
