- Abstract
Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia is the most common type of leukaemia. <bold>Margaret Ann Perry</bold> gives an overview of the condition and how practice nurses can support patients This article is part three of a series on types of leukaemia and focuses on chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, the most common type of adult leukaemia in the Western world. The disease mainly affects older adults, and is often diagnosed incidentally when the patient has a blood test for something else. This article aims to increase knowledge and understanding of the disease presentation, diagnosis, and management, so that nurses will feel more confident in supporting patients and their families.
