- Abstract
The author discusses the retrospective analysis describing the success of percutaneous dilatational tracheostomy (PDT) under the ultrasound guidance in 12 patients. He relates the study by V. Rajajee and colleagues which shows the success of PDT in patients with obesity. He notes that ultrasonography in intensive care unit (ICU) contributes to the reduction of PDT complications and ensures the correct placement of the tracheostomy tube.
