- Abstract
The article offers information on the landmark project of Amgen and Brigham & Women's Hospital which involved the genotyping of some 28,000 volunteers in the Women's Genome Health Study. The project is handled by Alex Parker's team based in Amgen's Cambridge, Massachusetts research facility. Participants in the said project are mostly nurses and physicians recruited across the U.S. Partial data from the said project was published in May 2008. It offered a comprehensive analysis of the influence of genetic variation on C-reactive protein.
