- Abstract
The article presents a critical examination into the use of metaphors surrounding the term and concept of "generation" seen in the religio-allegorical poetry of William Blake. Citations are made from his poem "Jerusalem: The Emanation of the Giant Albion," and from his major work "The Four Zoas." Biblical allusions to the books of Genesis, Isaiah and Revelation are also identified.
