- Abstract
Presents an interview is presented with graphic novelist Gilbert Hernandez. When asked his opinion about the representation of Hispanic people in comics, Hernandez talks about such artists working in mainstream comics and the goals of his own work. Hernandez also discusses how the MTV network created an avenue for diverse artists to reach a mainstream audience and that helped his comic book "Love and Rockets." Hernandez discusses how he is viewed as an "ethnic writer" but does not see himself that way.
