- Title
B cell tolerance: STALling B cell responses.
- Authors
Bird, Lucy
- Abstract
The article discusses the study that describes an approach to eradicate undesired antibody responses after transplantation and against biological agents. It states that an antigenic liposome that displays ligands for inhibitory B cell co-receptor CD22 was integrated in the approach. It adds that immunization with SIGLEC-engaging tolerance inducing antigenic liposomes (STALs) displaying ovalbumin factor VIII (FVIII) inhibited the formation of inhibitory antibodies.
