- Abstract
In order to study the influence factors of the horizontal tube screw conveyor such as the transmission efficiency and energy consumption,and to find the best kinematic parameters (feed speed,rotational speed,pitch of screw and screw diameter), By changing the four parameters of the conveyor and performing simulation in the discrete element software EDEM, the orthogonal test was carried out with time and power needed to deliver material particles of certain quality as the indexes of the two tests.The corresponding changes between these parameters and the conveyor conveying efficiency and energy consumption were analyzed, and it is concluded that the screw diameter has greatest effect on the transport efficiency and energy consumption of the screw conveyor, and the feed speed, pitch and rotational speed also have positive effects on conveying efficiency and energy consumption, but not as remarkable as the screw diameter.The better parameter combination scheme is screw pitch 200 mm, rotational speed 80 rpm/min, feed speed 8.1 t/h,screw diameter 210 mm (material filling rate 44%) .The research provides a reference for the better design of horizontal screw conveyor, improvement of transmission efficiency and reduction of energy consumption.
