- Abstract
Kismet brought together these five articles that focus on women, health, and health care. In this article, Faue and Walter document Stellman's professional contributions in theorizing women's occupational health to include exposure to hazardous chemicals, psychological distress, and the impact of new technologies. Relying on the archives of the Sophia Smith Collection of Women's History at Smith College, especially the papers of the National Black Women's Health Project (NBWHP) of the 1980s and 1990s, Wiesner narrates the far-reaching impact of this community health movement led by and for Black women.
