- Abstract
The article reports the case of a 12-year old boy who had retinal detachment with giant oral dialysis in his left eye with congenital aniridia. Results of examination revealed vitreous liquefaction, as well as the presence of vitreous strands in the temporal and inferior quadrants. The patient underwent scleral buckling surgery, including cryoretinopexy, drainage of subretinal fluid, and explantation of an encircling silicone tire, and eventually regained his vision after the surgery.
