- Abstract
Los biomateriales se implantan con el objeto de remplazar y/o restaurar tejidos vivientes y sus funciones, lo que implica que están expuestos de modo temporal o permanente a fluidos corporales. Los biomateriales deben cumplir con las condiciones de partida, como ser biocompatibles y asegurar una determinada vida media. En este sentido, basados en las interacciones moleculares que presentan las biomoléculas en diferentes medios, resulta interesante formar nanoestructuras compuestas para ser depositadas en la superficie de los materiales que conforman la estructura de los implantes, y de esta manera obtener recubrimientos biocompatibles con el cuerpo humano. El Quitosano es un polisacárido que proviene de la quitina por medio de una reacción de desacetilación. Se ha descrito como un polímero catiónico lineal, biodegradable, de alto peso molecular y ambientalmente amigable al ser extraído de la naturaleza. Asimismo, es importante la funcionalidad que le pueden dar moléculas poliméricas como Poli(ácido láctico-co-glicólico) (PLGA), Polilisina (PLL), Polietilenimina (PEI) y Poliornitina (PLO),ya que estudios previamente realizados han demostrado que estas moléculas son útiles en el campo de la regeneración de tejidos, al poseer propiedades de baja toxicidad, buena adherencia celular y características antimicrobianas. El objetivo de este trabajo fue sintetizar nanoestructuras de Quitosano funcionalizadas con polímeros como Poli(ácido láctico-co-glicólico) (PLGA), Polietilenimina (PEI), para su posterior deposición electroforética y estudio en el efecto antimicrobiano de superficies de titanio. Las nanoestructuras de Quitosano fueron sintetizadas mediante la técnica de gélificación iónica, formando soluciones de Quitosano 0,5% (p/v) disuelto en Acido Acetico al 1% (v/v) y añadiendo un 1 mL de una solución acuosa de tripolifosfato (0.25%, p / v) a 3 mL de solución de Quitosano. Luego se añadió una cantidad predeterminada 5 mg/mL de PLGA, PEI a la solución de nanoestructuras Quitosano. Los sistemas se caracterizaron por espectroscopia de infrarrojo con transformada de Fourier (FTIR), Dispersión de luz dinámica (DLS) y microscopia electrónica de barrido (SEM, por sus siglas en ingles). Con los resultados se pudo comprobar que las partículas sintetizadas se encontraban enlazadas esto se observó en el análisis (FTIR), en el análisis de DLS se observaron tamaños del rango de los 100 a los 300 nanómetros.
