- Abstract
The report presents some of the results from a sociometric study of interpersonal relations among fourth, sixth, and eight grade pupils in multi - ethnic school classes. The aim of the study was to identify the children at risk for early dropout on the basis of low level of popularity among their classmates. The pupils with low social acceptance from classmates will be at higher risk for early school dropout. The moderating role of ethnicity as a variable in school dropout predicting model is also discussed.
