- Abstract
The knowledge we now have about skin diseases owes to the history of dermatology. Dermatology first began in England and France in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, and dermatology in the United States began in 1836.[1] Since dermatology in Korea began in 1909 at Daehan Hospital, Seoul National University Hospital Dermatology (SNUHD) succeeded its history at the same place for 110 years. This article is to commemorate the anniversary of SNUHD, representing Korean dermatology, and to introduce how SNUHD developed through international cooperation.
