- Abstract
The article discusses the study on the predictive value of the initial trauma survey which serves as a guide in ordering further laboratory workup in blunt trauma patients. The study reportedly involved non-pregnant patients presented as Level I or Level II blunt trauma. Their surgeons' ability to identify significant injury before the computed tomography scan is examined. The results revealed that the ability of trauma surgeons to identify injury on the initial survey is not enough.
