- Abstract
The article discusses research on the outcome of laparoscopic treatment for colorectal malignancies. Particular focus is given to patients who underwent laparoscopic colectomy for colorectal cancer diagnosis in 2002-2009. Topics discussed include the use of colonoscopy with tumor biopsy in preoperative diagnosis, the assessment of operability via computed tomography scan and magnetic resonance imaging and the safety of laparoscopic colectomy in old-elderly patients.
