- Title
A METHOD FOR DESCRIBING COMPUTATIONAL SCIENCE.
- Authors
ANTON, Alin - Adrian
- Abstract
Computational science and engineering is the confluence where computers integrate with other scientific disciplines. The concepts and terminology of high performance distributed scientific computing are blurred. A method for describing computational science and organizing the information within is introduced. The structure allows for spotting old solutions to current problems and helps resolve the disagreements on terminology. The fundamental angles are defined and the demand for an opensource approach is pinpointed.
