- Abstract
The behavior of the traditional relay protection systems is analyzed. It is found that in many cases the traditional relay protection systems do not possess the necessary operating speed. The ways of an improvement in the properties of the relay protection for the electrical systems are examined. The need and possibility of the designing of the relay protection means with the forestalling action is substantiated. The basic axioms and definitions of the theory are formulated. The structure of the relay protection system for the new generation is proposed. The method of short-term forecast of the electric power system parameters is examined. The possibilities of the applying the extrapolation methods for the solution of the new relaying problems are shown. The recommendations regarding to the application of a new relay protection system for the networks 10 kV are given.
