- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 52-year-old man whose urinalysis revealed stones that resembled uric acid (UA) stones but were later identified as 2,8-dihydroxyadenine (2,8-DHA) stones, and who received the treatment by allopurinol with a low purine and low sodium diet that resulted in the stones being diminished and the reduction of the systemic blood pressure.
