- Abstract
The article reviews a study on the conception of resilience for research and application, particularly in prevention and intervention. It cites the three basic terms that contained in the definition of resilience, which includes, risk or adversity, positive adaptation or competence and ameliorative or protective factors. It discusses the risk factors, positive outcomes and protective factors of resilience research. Moreover, three major strategies to consider in planning a resilience-based prevention and intervention applications, including risk-focused strategies, asset-focused strategies and process-focused strategies, are also presented.
