- Abstract
The article discusses the language association between cussing, swearing and cursing. The author notes that the expression to swear refers to both cussing and to oath taking, thus, swearing involves embracing one thing and repelling all else contrary it. He cites that others have viewed these to be expressions of people's distaste. Distinctions between the three terms is discussed.
