- Abstract
The article presents a study on the effects of overexpression of PPARγ in osteoblasts in male and female transgenic mice. It discusses details of the methodology and materials in generating transgenic mice with the use of procollagen type 1 promoter to determine the bone mineral density (BMD), bone volume and bone loss after ovariectomy in female mice. It explores the significance of the research in the role of estrogen in bone formation rate.
