- Abstract
The article focuses on a study which investigated the contribution of neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) in bone healing. The findings indicate that the dysfunctions caused by loss of Nf1 in osteoblasts impair callus maturation and weaken callus mechanical properties. The researchers believe that the local delivery of lovastatin may improve bone healing in NF1 patients.
