State Law & State Taxation Corner.
- Authors
Rutledge, Thomas E.
- Abstract
The article discusses the court case Olmstead v. Federal Trade Commission in the U.S. along with the decision made by the Florida Supreme Court regarding the case. It emphasizes that a charging order issued against an interest of a member in a limited liability company (LLC) is not the sole remedy available to the member's judgment creditor as mentioned under the Florida law. It also notes that cases such as Olmstead show the adage that hard cases make bad law.
