The article reports that a trial of an experimental blood substitute in the U.S. has risen a concern because it does cannot give consent. In the U.S., the practice was authorized only a decade ago yet rarely. Advocates say that the trial will be used for test treatments for patients with trauma and heart-attack cases and which will be used to gather critical information in emergency situations.
