- Title
Transient Changes in Water Uptake Into Shoots Following a Change in Environment.
- Authors
SHERIFF, D. W.
- Abstract
When the environment of potometer-mounted shoots was changed suddenly and dramatically, there was frequently a transient change in water uptake in a direction opposite to that expected, and opposite to the subsequent direction of the change. The transient effects seemed not to be linked with stomatal changes, but were probably due to changes in the values of leaf water path parameters.
