- Abstract
The article discusses a study which examined the value of self-management counseling and heart failure education for the primary end point of death or heart failure hospitalization. The study included 902 patients diagnosed with mild to moderate heart failure and reduced systolic function between October 2001 and October 2004. Study authors found no significant differences on death, heart failure hospitalization and quality of life between patients who received self-management counseling and heart failure education and those who received heart failure education alone.
