Salmonella Cases Traced to Egg Producers.

- Abstract
The article focuses on an investigation conducted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and local public health authorities on an outbreak of Salmonella enteritidis in the U.S. In August 2010, approximately 1,500 people in the U.S. were diagnosed with Salmonella enteritidis. The investigation found that the source of such illness were the eggs incubated at Wright County Egg in Galt, Iowa. In relation to this, various eggs were recalled by Wright County Egg and Hillandale Farms.
