- Abstract
The article discusses criticism of companies' settlement agreements with departing employees. Many employer policies on departing employees have not been changed to incorporate changes in the enforcement of employment laws in the U.S. Enforcement litigation by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is forcing companies to change policy. The article discusses the use of confusing legal language in employee settlement contracts.
