- Abstract
The article discusses a study which examined the correlation between the production of corn cobs and their weight at harvesting time. The study uses corn hybrids PR39D81, PR39K09, PR3893 and PR3860, and yielded the weight 242 grams, 209 grams, 198 grams and 204 grams, respectively. The researchers concluded that corn production variation is influenced in a 98% by the cobs' weight variation at harvesting period. A chart is provided in this summary which shows production yields of 8.802 tons per hectare (t/ha) for PR39D81, 8.132 t/ha for PR39K09, 8.032 t/ha for PR3893 and 8.057 t/ha for PR3860.
