- Abstract
The article presents a study of the effects of thermal histories on the polymorphic behavior and thermal property of polyamide 6 (PA6). Such effects were investigated using temperature-modulated differential scanning calorimetry technology. Longer annealing time and faster cooling rate were found to favor the formation of α crystal when PA6 samples were annealed in the solid-state at 175 degree Celsius. A small endothermic peak was seen in the low-temperature region in PA6 samples.
