- Abstract
The article focuses on a study which examined the polyvinyl fluoride (PVDF)-diphenyl ketone (DPK) mixture as a sytem for preparing PVDF membranes via thermally induced phase separation (TIPS). The study observed the occurrence of a liquid-liquid phase separation phenomena when the mixture temperature dropped. Results of the study showed that high coarsening temperatures and low PDVF levels led to the formation of large pore size membrane.
