- Abstract
Eleven cases of complications following retrograde angiography are reported. Those include three cases of dissection and thrombosis of the axillary artery, four cases of thrombosis of the brachial artery, two cases of pseudoaneurysm of the femoral artery, one case of thrombosis of the femoral artery, and one case of subintimal dissection and perforation of the aorta. Various points in the technique of retrograde catheter and cannula angiography are stressed to avoid the known hazards and complications. Prompt recognition and treatment of these complications is urged.
