- Authors
McGann, Jerome
- Abstract
A literary criticism of the book "Blake" by Martin Delany is presented. Topics discussed include history and vicious social conditions depicted in the book, its publication in serial form in ephemeral black periodicals; ideas, scenes and arguments presented in the book which reflect rich life experience, requirement of intellectual commitments for practical action, vision of black redemption, and its failure to expose the remarkably innovative character of the work's form and structure.
