- Abstract
Our final conclusion, based on our appraisal of the data and analysis, was that "poisoned patients receiving antidotal SBT require close cardiovascular monitoring", particularly in the setting of sodium channel blockade and severe metabolic acidosis. It is for this very reason that we performed a robust propensity score analysis a priori to control for varying propensity to administer sodium bicarbonate therapy (SBT).
