- Abstract
The article focuses on the comparison of polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) production and substrate specifity between PhaRC[Y,B,4] or Bacillus cereus and PhaRC[B,m] or B. megaterium in Ralstonia eutropha. It mentions that polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is performed to amplify the coding regions of phaC and phaR using genomic DNA. It concludes that PhaRC[Y,B,4] has broader substrate specifity and it produces large amounts of PHA than PhaRC[B,m].
