- Abstract
The article presents a study on the behavior of chitosanase in a deep biosphere Bacillus thuringiensis strain. It discusses the optimal pH and temperature of the purified enzyme (Cho-GG) and explained the discrepancy of temperature which was terminated by the reaction products such as chitotriose and chitotetraose. It concludes that the thermal stability of many chitosanases of B. turingienesis and other related strains are enhanced by chitotriose and chitotetraose.
