- Abstract
The article presents a study which examined the molecular characterization and isolation of Limnothrix/Pseudanabaena species, the multicellular strain Atami Botanical Research Garden (ABRG)5-3. The study made use of a pour-plating technique in separating the algal strains that include the cyanobacteria. Results indicate that unique secondary metabolites are produced by cyanobacteria as natural products, such as the micropeptin and microcystin.
