- Abstract
An amphoteric-early strength-polycarboxylate superplasticizer (PCE) was synthesized with isoprene polyoxyethylene ether (TPEG) as macromonomer, acrylic acid (AA),2 acrylamide 2-methylpropanesulfonic acid (AMPS) and methacrylic ethyl trimethyl ammonium chloride(DMC) as small monomers. The effects of amphoteric-early strength-polycarboxylate superplasticizer on adsorption-dispersion, setting time and hydration properties of cement paste were analyzed, in comparison with that of anionic polycarboxylate superplasticizer. The results show that the adsorption rate of amphoteric-early strength-polycarboxylate superplasticizer on the surface of cement particles is lower than that of ordinary anionic polycarboxylate superplasticizer, and the saturated adsorption capacity is lower that of the anionic polycarboxylate superplasticizer at the equilibrium adsorption point. Added with amphoteric-early strength-polycarboxylate superplasticizer, the dispersion and retention of cement paste is better, the setting time of cement can be shortened to a certain extent, and the hydration reaction rate of cement mineral components can be promoted in the early stage of precast concrete.
