- Abstract
Desuperheating spray is an powerful tool for power plant to adjust the steam temperature, and its water intake locations play greatly effects on the thermal economy. This paper presents the influence of water intake locations for superheater and reheater desuperheating water on the thermal economy in a 200 MW unit under variable operating condition based on "constant flow method". The results show that with the decrease of the load, the influence of both superheater and reheater desuperheating water on the unit thermal economy diminishes gradually. Compared to the superheater desuperheating water, the reheater desuperheating water plays greater impact on the unit thermal economy. The effect of the water intake locations for reheater desuperheating water increases gradually in following order: the outlet of high-pressure heater, the outlet of feed pump and then the inter-stage extraction of feed pump.
