- Abstract
The article discusses the increasing need for neurorehabilitation in line with the increasing number of survivors of stroke and other neurological injuries and disease. It provides an overview of the growth in demand for rehabilitation services. It outlines scientific evidence that support the use of exercises and behavioral interventions to promote recovery after injuries of the nervous system. It discusses some of the issues that could lead to the marginalization of the field of neurorehabilitation.
