- Abstract
The article discusses a case of a 24-year-old man who was given an occlusal adjustment for the treatment of his occlusal complaints. The patient was diagnosed with myofascial pain and temporomandibular joint arthralgia, thus suggesting severe dental abrasion and phantom bite syndrome (PBS). The case highlights the need of adopting a multidisciplinary approach by the dentists for treating persistently perceived occlusal problems in patients.
