- Abstract
The article focuses on the issue of public disclosure of sensitive governmental information in the context of national security with reference to two cases including Pentagon Papers case and United States v. Progressive Inc. of the U.S district court. It discusses the right of the press to disclose certain governmental secrets and the three approaches to resolving cases including the absolutist position, the prior restraint model along with the subsequent punishment framework.
