- Abstract
The article provides an overview of the National Program for the Elimination of Lymphatic Filariasis (NPELF) in Haiti. Despite facing political crises, natural disasters, and a cholera outbreak, the program has achieved full geographic coverage and reached over 8 million people in 2012. The program aims to treat lymphatic filariasis and intestinal helminth infections through preventive chemotherapy. It has expanded its coverage across all provinces in Haiti and provides care for patients with LF-related morbidity. The article acknowledges the challenges faced by the program and highlights the support and contributions of various organizations and individuals.
