- Abstract
The study was carried out on ninth year results of the experiment established with totally 100 families from 10 natural Anatolian black pine (Pinus nigra Arnold.) populations in Isparta-Kayı village plantation area. In this context Individual and family heritabilities, and also genetic gain for different selection intensity were estimated for tree height and branch characters by SAS package programme. Large differences were found among populations and within population for the characters. Beside, while individual heritability (h²i >0.44) was lower than family heritability (h²f >0.71) for diameter, angle and number of branches, while it was opposite for tree height (0.85&0.92). Ratio of total genetic gai&#n changed for the selection intensity. It was the highest (81.3% and %59.25%) for the tree height.
