- Abstract
The article focuses on Quinolone Derivatives, and how it can be used as potent inhibitors of Wild-Type Transthyretin (TTR) and V30M TTR Amyloidosis. It mentions that these proteins lead to amyloid diseases in humans including Alzeheimer's disease, light chain amyloidosis, and TTR amyloidosis. It reports that the tafamidis binding to the thyroxine-binding sites in V30M TTR results in slower disease progression, and gives details on the experimentation.
