- Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic has affected every sector, primarily health and especially the economies of developed and developing countries. Especially, the decrease in physical mobility, distance obligations, very limited socialization opportunities, new living conditions such as remote working and education have led societies to digitalize rapidly. Therefore, the phenomenon of digitalization has left its mark on today as one of the most critical problems faced by individuals, businesses and countries. The aim of this study is to present a current profile in terms of digitalization in the global economy by examining the developments in the digital economy under the influence of the Covid-19 crisis. Within the framework of the qualitative research method, it is planned to reach a conclusion by examining the secondary data sources by content analysis. Some features were determined for the selection of secondary sources to be examined by content analysis. These features are that the study covers the Covid-19 pandemic period and provides data on a global scale. Although the Covid-19 crisis still continues globally, newly recorded information in the digital economy constitutes an important data source for future prediction studies. Examining the "consumer and business" indicators for digitalization in the global economy during the Covid-19 crisis period can provide a better understanding of the digital economy.
