- Abstract
The complementary geological survey of the new metro line D in Prague was located in the most geologically and geotechnically diverse and especially the most problematic part of the line route, in Pankrác neighbourhood. The paper focuses on the VO-OL section and is a follow-up to previously published papers in TUNEL journal issues No. 1/2019 and No. 4/2020. This survey project is led in the direction from the hoisting shaft located at Na Strži Street to the bottom of the future Pankrác D single-vault station. Activities carried out in a mining-like way in the developed area of the city, under important utility networks, including the Želivského water supply pipeline, operated running tunnels of the Pankrác - Budějovická section of the metro line C and the PAD4 survey locality, place great emphasis on appropriate technique of the work operations and the comprehensive geotechnical monitoring. The execution and assessment of the complementary engineering geological survey along the route of the future tunnel, including exploratory boreholes, geophysical measurements, fi eld and laboratory tests of affected geological layers, will lead to elimination of risks associated with the construction of future running tunnels and the Pankrác D single-vault metro station.
