- Abstract
Der Beitrag zeigt, dass in der psychischen Gesundheit zum Teil erhebliche soziale Unterschiede bestehen. Die hier vorgestellten Daten des Robert Koch-Instituts belegen, dass Armutsbetroffenheit mit einem erhöhten Risiko für psychische Erkrankungen einhergeht. Dies gilt sowohl im Kindes- und Jugendalter als auch im späteren Erwachsenenalter. Ergänzt werden diese Ergebnisse durch Daten des AOK-Fehlzeitenreports. Armut wirkt sich nicht nur auf den materiellen Lebensstandard aus, sondern schränkt auch die Möglichkeiten zur Teilhabe am gesellschaftlichen Leben ein. Insgesamt ist der Zusammenhang von Armut, sozialer Ungleichheit und psychischer Gesundheit ein multifaktorielles Geschehen. Entsprechend müssen Informationen und Maßnahmen gezielt gesammelt und umgesetzt werden.
