- Abstract
To produce the high quality environmentally-friendly dense flint glass and meet the requirements of high definition optical system to materials, the experiment and analysis on the composition and manufacturing process factors of SiO2-TiO2-Nb2O5 heavy flint glass were carried out. Also, the coloring mechanism of this glass at different preparation conditions was discussed with structure analysis. It is found that glass color and spectral property were affected by Pt4+ content, the melting atmosphere, and oxidation-reduction quality of glass components.
