- Abstract
Skin biopsy demonstrated (d) parakeratosis, spongiosis and dermal infiltrates of mixed inflammatory cells. T. rubrum-induced kerions were diagnosed although T. rubrum rarely infects the scalp or causes kerions.[[1]] Lesions cleared after a 2-month course of itraconazole, leaving scarring alopecia.
